A proper summer wedding! That is: blue skies, bright sunshine and warm. It was a rare thing last year, but in mid-August after an incredibly wet July, the weather came through. At least for a day or two, and most certainly in mid-Oxfordshire for Patrick & Victoria's wedding at Lains Barn. Victoria was getting ready with her family and bridesmaids at the absolutely lovely Manor Farm Bed & Breakfast. I can't recommend enough how nice a place Manor Farm is. On a warm, dusty summer day, it absolutely reminded me of childhood family holidays to similar farmhouses, with beautiful views over golden fields. The rustic interior was welcoming, cosy and the perfect place for everyone getting ready for the day. I loved the farm and really want to get back for a stay with my family sometime soon.
Just a brilliant day. As you can probably guess from my rambling, I had an amazing time documenting their wedding, and it was fantastic to spend time with Victoria & Patrick, and their friends and family. The fact it was finished off by the best hog roast I have ever tasted, was the icing on the cake. Or more appropriately perhaps, the crackling in the bun.
