This short and intimate commission in one of my favourite cities, was the UK dedication of Joanne and Antony's wedding. They live in China where there official wedding had taken place the year before, and had organised a family event to celebrate back here in the UK. Salisbury holds a special place in my heart, and no area of the city more so than the cathedral. Joanne had arranged for us to have a portrait session there and the opportunity was fantastic - a one-off most likely. Whilst I am in no way religious, this iconic building is deeply ingrained on me. My father adored the place and we regularly visited during holidays whilst growing up. It is a majestic piece of construction and utterly beautiful as a backdrop for this wedding.
And then it rained. A lot.
