I don't get nervous before a wedding. Usually. In the buildup to Hannah & Stuart's wedding at Owlpen Manor in Gloucestershire, I did however. The reason being it was 3 days after my second son's due date. I had of course arranged backups in case I couldn't make it but really didn't want to go down that route if I could avoid it. I also had one of our long term trainee photographers with me on the day - Alexis Jaworski - who was able to lend a hand if needed or if I needed a sleep (joke....mostly). Alexis was great to work alongside on the day and is doing really well on our programme, but that's a whole other blog post for another day. As it was, my son was a day early, so with a full 4 days to recover from the arrival of a newborn baby, I was good to go. Energy drinks are a saviour sometimes...
At the end of May, this beautiful day had us believing that summer had arrived. Sunshine all day long gave the stunning Owlpen Manor a golden glow, aided by the Cotswold stone everywhere. With outdoor games, freeflowing Pimms and bright blue skies, it felt like the perfect English summer day, and a wonderful setting for Hannah & Stuart's wedding.
