Two incredibly lovely people getting married at the equally lovely (and grand) Loseley Park in Surrey. It's a place I have been to several times and always look forward to going back to.
A Loseley Park wedding covers a variety of incredible locations. The main house is where the ceremony takes place in the dark wood, elegant surroundings. After that, the gardens are some of the most beautiful I have known anywhere. After the last time I visited in the pouring rain, to be able to enjoy them in the sunshine was a real treat.
After the drinks reception, Anna & Alex's meal and evening reception was to be held in the Tithe Barn on site. This rustic setting offers a real balance to the grand setting of the house and gardens, and is just perfect for the food and party time of the day. On the subject of food, the onsite caterers are fantastic. An amazing meal for the guests, and also for this hungry photographer!
Another thing Loseley does very well is the lighting. There is lovely natural light in the ceremony room, and the barn itself offers decent sized windows to illuminate proceedings. Beyond that, the evening lighting on the outside of the buildings and trees is superb and offers a really fantastic setting.
The one thing you can never control with weddings is the weather, and a July wedding in England often means rain. So it was a nice bonus to actually have summer weather for a change! Bright, warm sunshine, beautiful grounds, wonderful people. A fantastic day.
