10 months since I applied to become an associate of Allister and 6 months after the first wedding I photographed with him, we are now here at the point of launching my own website. It has been a hugely productive time, and one of immense personal upheaval. The hectic schedule of the past 8 months has comprised of shooting weddings most weekends, editing, reviewing, meeting clients, presenting photographs and everything else that goes along with delivering a high quality photography product. I don't wish to dwell heavily on the personal upheaval but it deserves to be mentioned. Six months ago, two weeks before the first wedding of the season, my father passed away. The sadness of that event and subsequent grief was immense and there is a hole in my life from the most inspiring and wonderful man I'll ever know. It has also been a driving force for me to push myself further and harder than ever to develop, refine and improve my work and hope that my own boy will be as proud of me one day, as I am of my dad.
It's been a busy season. Long hours and lots of hard work to get to this point and I couldn't be happier with where we are now. I have been privileged to photograph beautiful, poignant, funny and emotional weddings around the country. The website is the final piece to provide the platform for those weddings and over the next few weeks and months, I am looking forward to sharing them here.
Thanks for reading. Keep coming back and please say hello or let me know what you think in the comments. I'm looking forward to the next chapter.
